Job summary

Fulcrum Engineering is seeking Fabricator Welders to join the Fab Shop and travel to sites as needed. You will weld mainly with MIG and perform fabrication on mild steel and aluminum components for industrial frames and structures.

The role includes working both in the fab shop and on site, with occasional overnight lodging where required and overtime hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Able to fabricate & weld with MIG mainly & ideally some TIG.
• C&G or NVQ Welding Fabrication or Sheet Metalwork or Steel Erecting.
• Ideally able to use Tube Bending Machine & Press Brake.

Responsibilities

• Work in Fab Shop on pre-fabrication for projects.
• Perform site work erecting steel frames and supports as required.
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment to weld mild steel and ali components.

Job description

Fulcrum Engineering & Technical are acting as a Employment Business on behalf of our Clients.

Braintree & Sudbury areas in the Fab Shop & local Sites.

Plus must be happy & prepared to work as required on

Sites in areas such as Huntingdon, Milton Keynes, Brentwood, Uxbridge, Belverdere, London & Slough with longer Travel or may require staying in these areas. Mon to Thu overnight Lodging paid & meals & travel times etc.

We are recruiting personnel at all levels and covering similar Steel Welding Fabrication & Mechanical /Pipe Fitting roles depending on applicants skill sets & experience.

Working in the Fab Shop on pre fabrication work for projects, Site Work as required.

Fabricator Welders will be more involved with fabrication work plus higher spec welding work with TIG & MIG. Work on mild steel, ali metal on angle, box, channel ideally able to weld pipe. Covering heavy steel building frames & work plat forms, stairs, hand rails etc.

Working on Industrial & Commercial structural & architectural project site work. Erecting & fitting steel frames, supports, walk ways, work plat forms, hand rails.

Operating IPAF - Mobile Platforms to erect steel work frames

Also semi skilled applicants can apply if they can cover most of the work depending on their skill set

Quals/Skills = Able to fabricate & weld with MIG mainly & ideally some TIG depending on skills levels, or weld with MIG and TIG

C & G or NVQ Welding Fabrication or Sheet Metalwork or Steel Erecting

Ideally - Use Tube Bending Machine & Press Brake & other Work Shop Machinery & Tools

Hours = 0730 to 1630 or 1730 45 to 55 hours Mon to Fri as required

Also 0700 to 1330 or 1530 Sat as required

Term = Temp Contract 4 to 8 + weeks Also with good chance of further work 13 to 18 weeks in the Fab Shop and on other Sites in the Essex, Middlesex & London areas or further afield as required.

Perm = £19 + Hr Basic May be some direct perm roles if the applicant is working and has to give notice

Pay Temp Contract = £26 + per hr up to 60 hrs £31 + per hr Sat
