Job summary

Rooted Recruitment is seeking a skilled fabricator/welder for a workshop-based role in the United Kingdom. You will perform MIG and TIG welding on mild and stainless steel, operate guillotines, presses, drills, and power tools, and support on-site installations with overtime as needed.

The position offers an hourly rate with overtime opportunities and a path from temporary to permanent employment within a growing engineering team.

Qualifications

Overview

Carry out general workshop fabrication using industry-standard machinery and equipment. Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding on mild and stainless steel. Operate fabrication machinery including guillotines, presses, drills, and hand and power tools. Support on-site installations and projects, with flexibility for overtime when required.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly rate starting from £17.00 per hour PAYE (DOE) or £25 per hour CIS/LTD
• Overtime opportunities available to enhance earning potential (1.3x and 1.5x OT rates)

Required Skills & Experience

Working Hours

Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overtime: Available as required
