Job summary

eTeach UK Limited is seeking a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a named pupil with SEN at our partner school in Swadlincote. The role is 30 hours per week, term-time, 8:45am–3:15pm, on a fixed-term contract until the end of the academic year.

You will work 1:1 and with small groups, supporting teaching staff to ensure learning needs are met, with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning or equivalent is required.
• Experience supporting teaching and learning, including pupils with SEN.
• Ability to work effectively in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 SEN support for a named pupil in the classroom and during lunchtime.
• Support small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and deliver activities.

1:1 LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

We currently have vacancy for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant for a named pupil or individual pupil with SEN. The role is for 30 hours a week (8.45 - 3.15), to start as soon as possible and will be on a fixed term contract until the end of the academic year, linked to the ongoing need for 1:1 SEN support. The position to be paid in line with Leicestershire County Council Grade 5. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic individual, providing dedicated SEN support on a 1:1 basis, within the classroom and during lunchtime whilst working closely with other teaching staff to ensure provision is effective and that learning needs are met.

The successful candidate will:

• Be committed, caring and hard-working and work effectively as part of a team


• Have a love for working with children and want to enable them to flourish


• Be motivated, well organised, patient, adaptable and able to use their own initiative


• Have experience of supporting teaching and learning including those with SEN


• Be prepared to work with both small groups and 1:1 SEN pupils as required


• Be qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning or equivalent
