The role is permanent, full-time (40 hours) with overtime, reporting to Production Management. Starting pay is £12.71–£13.85 per hour for those over 21, with a scale based on experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate Saws and CNC machines for aluminium parts.
• Support smooth production operations across the line.
• Manage waste levels and disposal, and assist with cleaning machinery.
• Assist with stock items and built units, using manual handling, forklift trucks and cranes.
• Assist with pre-shipment inspection and door preparation.

F. Bamford (Engineering) Ltd, known in the industry as Bamford Doors, specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of custom made, aluminium communal security doors and screens.

Due to continued growth we are looking to add to our production team.

Key Responsibilities

• Operation of Saws and CNC machining - aluminium.
• Assisting in ensuring smooth operation of all aspects of production operations.
• Managing levels of waste materials in production areas on a daily basis and ensuring correct disposal, including assisting with cleaning machinery and production areas.
• Assisting with management of stock items and built units, including movement of items around facility using manual handling devices, forklift trucks and cranes.
• Assisting with pre shipment inspection including preparing doors for inspection.

Reporting

Role reports to the Production Management Team

Full time role 40 hours per week plus overtime

07.00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday

07:00- 13:00 Friday

Potential overtime on daily basis and Saturdays, over time paid at enhanced rate

Starting Rate of pay £12.71 – 13.85 (over 21 years) £10.85 - £13.85 (under 21 years) per hour depending on experience (pay increase on successful completion of various probationary points)

Holidays 20 days per annum plus bank holidays, plus additional days dependant on Christmas shut down
