Precept Recruit is seeking a hands-on Production Operative for a manufacturing environment on the outskirts of Nottingham. You’ll join a proactive team, working with a range of tasks and systems, and contribute to a culture that values growth and engagement.

The role involves machine minding, packing, assembly and using ERP software to keep records. Training and continuous improvement are encouraged within a supportive, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a machine operative role.

• Ability to follow instructions and work to processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate across production areas including machine minding, secondary operations, packing and assembly.
• Use ERP/EFACS or similar systems to book labour and update records.
• Carry out stock taking and update spreadsheets.
• Input data with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Report hazards or near-misses using iAuditor.
• Suggest improvements and support continuous improvement activities.
• Follow production processes, GMP/GDP and maintain good housekeeping.
• Take part in training to build skills and knowledge.

What you'll be doing:

You’ll play an important role in supporting production and business operations, including:

• Working across production areas — machine minding, secondary operations, packing, assembling and more
• Using EFACS/ERP (or similar systems) to book labour and update records
• Carrying out stock taking and updating spreadsheets
• Inputting data with accuracy and attention to detail
• Reporting hazards or near-misses using iAuditor
• Suggesting improvements and supporting continuous improvement activities
• Following production processes, quality standards, GMP/GDP and good housekeeping
• Taking part in training to build your skills and knowledge

What We’re Looking For

Working Hours

Standard Hours:

• Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 15:30
• Friday: 07:00 – 12:30

Shift Rotation (every 4–6 weeks)

Afternoons (paid at x 1.25 hourly rate):

• Mon–Thu: 14:00 – 22:30
• Fri: 11:00 – 16:30
