You will be joining an established team providing support to a young woman with learning disabilities and autism. She lives in her own apartment within a small block of three other apartments. She enjoys life to the full and follows a structured daily routine, which is important in meeting her individual needs.
You will be required to work in accordance with a person-centred support plan and established guidelines. Good communication skills are essential; you will be responsible for assisting with the administration of medication and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. Full training will be given.
Although this is a lone-working role, you will have the support of an experienced team. The role also involves driving to and providing support with a variety of planned activities, including horse riding, the gym, reflexology, shopping and nightclubs. She also attends an activity farm for individuals with learning disabilities.
