Job summary

Position: Site Manager

We are currently looking for an experienced

Site Manager to oversee a new housebuilding development in

Stafford for an established

PLC housebuilder.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential new build and, preferably, previous experience working directly for or alongside a

PLC housebuilder. Experience across both

Housing Association and Open Market housing would be highly advantageous.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the development, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the day-to-day operations on site.
• Coordinating subcontractors, trades and site personnel.
• Ensuring all works are completed to the required quality and specification.
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety across the development.
• Monitoring programme and progress against build targets.
• Managing materials, deliveries and site logistics.
• Working closely with the Contracts Manager and wider project team.
• Ensuring homes are delivered to the required standards and timescales.
• Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and relevant stakeholders.
• Maintaining accurate site records and ensuring all relevant documentation is completed.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a Site Manager with proven experience in

residential housebuilding, ideally with previous experience working for a

PLC builder.

You should have experience with:

• Open Market and Housing Association schemes.
• Timber frame and traditional construction methods.
• Managing multiple trades and subcontractors.
• Working to build programmes and deadlines.
• Maintaining high standards of quality and health & safety.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Proven experience as a Site Manager within residential housebuilding.
• Recent, checkable references.
• Strong understanding of health & safety and quality requirements.
• Ability to manage and coordinate a busy residential development.

Duration

The position is expected to run for

several months, with the potential for further opportunities depending on the project and candidate.
