Job summary

TradeChoice Carpet & Flooring in the United Kingdom is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our logistics team. You will ensure goods are labelled correctly, stored safely and ready for collection by customers, using a range of MHE including counterbalance FLTs, picker lifts and reach trucks.

Working Monday to Friday, 6am to 3pm, you will greet customers and suppliers at the goods-in/collection door and may represent the business at the Trade Counter.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential)
• Industry knowledge of warehousing/logistics (desirable)
• Basic Health & Safety knowledge
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to adapt to varying hours

Responsibilities

• Quality check products to ensure correct labelling and safe storage
• Prepare items for collection by customers and demonstrate efficient stock retrieval using MHE (FLT, picker lifts, reach trucks)
• Assist with loading/unloading vans and lorries
• Greet customers and suppliers at goods-in/collection door and represent the business at the Trade Counter

Role summary:

• Monday to Friday
• 6am to 3pm

No two days are the same, but your role will normally involve quality checking our products to ensure they are labelled accurately, stored safely, and ready to be collected by our customers. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate the most efficient stock retrieval technique using our mechanical handling equipment (MHE) varying from: counterbalance FLTs (occasionally with boom/pole extension), picker lifts, reach trucks, and pallet trucks. There is also an element of manual handling up to 25kg in packs of flooring screeds/adhesives, and helping to load or unload our vans and lorries. But the fun doesn't stop there! You will also meet and greet customers and suppliers when they visit our goods-in/collection door, and from time to time, be the face of our business on our branded Trade Counter.

What we are looking for:

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential)
• Industry knowledge and experience (desirable).
• Knowledge of our competitors, and our group companies (desirable).
• Basic knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety.
• Previous experience working in a warehousing environment (desirable).
• Familiarity with goods-in and goods-out, inventory and general logistics.
• Physically able to carry out manual handling duties as required.
• Comfortable working within a fast-paced and results-driven environment
• Flexible attitude toward varying working hours.
