Job summary

Iko is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative to join our team in the East Midlands on-site. You will be responsible for picking and packing orders, loading and unloading vehicles, and keeping work areas tidy and safe.

The role requires good organisational skills, effective communication, and the ability to work under pressure as part of a collaborative team. A Counterbalance FLT licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Counterbalance FLT licence and warehouse duties.
• Experience working in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Clear communication and teamwork are essential.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures.

Principal duties:

• Picking and packing orders to a high standard.
• Loading and unloading vehicles in a safe manner.
• Recording information on pick sheets.
• Liaising and communicating with team members effectively.
• Identifying issues within the area and feeding back to Team Leader/ Manager.
• Giving clear information on issues.
• Keeping areas clean and tidy.
• Ensure that effective implementation of the company Health & Safety policy is maintained and that all legislation pertaining to safety, COSHH and environmental rulings are complied with.
• Ensure risk assessments and safe operating procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Undertake designated tasks as allocated by Managers.

Experience or skills that would be desirable:

• Previous experience in a warehouse role (Preferred)
• Effective organisational and time management skills (Preferred)
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely: (Preferred)
• Work under own initiative and be a good team player (Preferred)
