Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for ongoing work in Southampton. Roles include days with at least a 10-hour shift and potential to go full-time. Ongoing work with overtime on weekends.

Salary offered is £17.00–£18.50 per hour, with start times AM or PM. Applicants will drive containers from docks, undergo a driving assessment and induction, and must hold a valid UK Class 1 licence and CPC/DIGI cards.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class 1 licence required.
• CPC & DIGI tachograph card required.
• DP World Card required.
• Must complete driving assessment & induction.
• Container experience essential.
• Experience in and out of docks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting containers from the dock to local companies or trunking up to the Midlands.
• Day or Night trunking up to the Midlands with general haulage (curtain side double decker work).
• No hand-balling involved.
• Vehicle checks and ensuring containers are secured.
• Report any issues to the night manager.

Here at The Best Connection we are looking for experienced HGV Cat C+E Drivers to join our client based in Southampton. This is an ongoing role, with potential to go full time with a contract.

Salary - £17.00 / £18.50 per hour

Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday 10 hour minimum

Location - Southampton

Start Time - AM OR PM SHIFTS

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Delivering and collecting containers from the dock to local companies or Trunking up to Midlands.
• Day or Night trunking up to the midlands with General Haulage so Curtain side double decker work
• No hand-balling involved
• Vehicle checks, making sure the containers are secured
• Reporting any issues to the night manager

WHAT IS REQUIRED/BENEFITS:

• Valid DP World Card
• Must complete driving assessment & induction
