Job summary

Cygnet Kewstoke is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join the team at Cygnet Kewstoke. The role involves supporting meal service, basic food prep and maintaining high kitchen hygiene standards on site.

You will be part of a care-focused kitchen, with duties including assisting with deliveries, stock checks and safe handling of chemicals in line with COSHH. The position offers 12.1% annual leave and a 13 GBP per hour rate.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team in the providing balanced, appetising meals
• Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen duties
• Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately
• Sort, store & distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering
• Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienic
• Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures
• Use chemicals in line with COSHH regulations.

Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke provides emergency admissions services for men and women, and a pathway for women to rehabilitation including a specialist servicefor personality disorder.

Your Day-to-Day…

£13 per hour +12.1% annual leave

• Assist the team in the providing balanced, appetising meals
