Job summary

McNaha care is seeking a caregiver to provide personalised support in the service user's own home, enabling independence and comfort. The role includes assisting with dressing, hygiene, mobility and daily living tasks, while ensuring dignity and privacy at all times.

The successful candidate will support medication and nutritional needs, help with transfers and equipment checks, and work closely with the service user to maintain safe and empowering daily routines.

Responsibilities

• Provide a personal and individualised service of care to enable independent living in the service user's own home.
• Support the service user in agreed elements of care while respecting dignity, privacy and independence.
• Assist with Dressing and undressing as part of personal care.
• Support with Toileting and personal hygiene tasks.
• Assist with continence management.
• Help the service user get in and out of bed.
• Enable mobility including moving and handling transfers and positioning.
• Check mobility and lifting equipment (e.g., wheelchairs) for safe use.
• Provide medication support and food and diet support as required.

Job description

To provide care and support to the service user in agreed elements of care, in a manner that enables and empowers the service user and at all times observing and respecting the service users’s dignity, privacy and independence as far as practical.

To provide Personal Care which can include;

Dressing and undressing

Toileting and all aspects of personal hygiene,

Continence management.

Getting in and out of bed.

Enabling mobility, including moving and handling transfers, and positioning.

Checking mobility / lifting equipment, wheelchairs etc for safe use.

Medication support and food and diet support,
