Brook Street Social Care, in proud partnership with a respected children's residential care provider, is recruiting for a Deputy Manager in Salford to support young people with emotional and behavioural needs in a safe, structured home. You will lead a team of residential care workers, ensure safeguarding and quality standards, and contribute to care planning and positive outcomes for children.

The role requires Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare and prior senior experience; flexible

Qualifications

• Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential.
• Experience in a senior, team leader or Deputy Manager role within a children's residential setting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work flexibly including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Deputy Manager to join their compassionate and growing team.

About the Role:

As a

Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs in a nurturing, safe, and structured environment. You will manage and support a team of residential support workers, ensuring the highest quality of care is consistently delivered while promoting positive outcomes for the children and young people in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Registered Manager closely in the day-to-day running of the home
• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of care staff
• Ensure all safeguarding, compliance, and quality standards are met
• Support the development and implementation of individual care plans
• Build trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals
• Be part of the on-call rota and cover shifts when required

Requirements:

• Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential
• Previous experience in a senior, team leader or Deputy Manager role within a children's residential setting
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• A genuine passion for making a difference in young people's lives
