East Harptree Primary School is seeking a part-time Learning Partner to support learning across the school. The role involves working flexibly as part of a team under the direction of teachers to provide teaching and learning support to pupils, teachers and the wider school community.

The successful candidate will be a flexible team player with strong relationship skills, good behaviour management, initiative and a proactive approach to CPD and professional development.

Learning Partner Hours: 22.5 hours Monday to Friday 08.30 - 13.00 / Term Time only to include 5 inset days Contract: Fixed term until 31 August 2027 Salary:Grade JG4, SCP 7-11 (£27,274 - £29,071) Actual Salary: £14,567.97 - £15,527.81 per annum Start Date: 2 November 2026

The Role:

East Harptree and Ubley Primary Schools are seeking to appoint a part-time Learning Partner supporting the learning of children across the schools. The role is to work flexibly as part of a team, under the direction of class teachers or the SENDCo to provide teaching and learning support to pupils, teachers and the wider school community.

  • A committed person confident in working with the class teacher to support/develop learning of individual pupils, groups or the whole class

Our School:

East Harptree Primary School is a small, friendly rural village school, and it plays a hugely important role in serving isolated village communities. We have close links with the local church community and the Diocese of Bath and Wells and work closely with Ubley Primary School as a supportive collaboration of two rural schools. Parental support is good and there is a highly supportive PTA Committee.

The Lighthouse Schools Partnership (LSP) is a Multi-Academy Trust which has experienced rapid growth since it started in 2016. There are currently 33 schools in the Trust.
