Greggs plc is seeking a Shop Maintenance Engineer to join the team in Richmond upon Thames and surrounding areas. The role focuses on preventative, routine and emergency maintenance of shop equipment, ensuring reliable operation across around 80 Greggs shops.
The ideal candidate has 18th Edition qualification (ideally) and strong experience in electrical maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvements. A full UK driving licence, good communication skills, and IT proficiency are essential.
Salary: Circa £49,250 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Shop Maintenanceteam at Greggs as a Shop Maintenance Engineer.
As Shop Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for:
Carrying out preventative, routine and emergency maintenance work on equipment in our shops
Ensuring all on-site mechanical and electrical equipment is working as effectively and efficiently as possible
Carrying out regular maintenance work, day-to-day repair of shop equipment, electrical repairs and modifications
Ensuring machine downtime is minimised whilst repairs are carried out for a group of approximately 80 shops
You will fit right into this role if you can demonstrate:
18th Edition Electrician Qualification (ideally)
Significant experience in installations, electrical repair, fault finding, preventative maintenance and continuous improvements
Good organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and carry out a varied workload in all trades, on both equipment and property
A Full UK Driving Licence is essential
Knowledge of Food Safety & SHE
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility in working hours (as may be required to work different shifts each week or asked to work overtime)
IT skills including Microsoft 365; SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams

£12.91 per hour, if you are under 18 this will be £11.03 per hour
£14.50 per hour which includes a 70p per hour band increment.
