Job summary

Greggs plc is looking for a Shop Maintenance Engineer to maintain and repair equipment across our shops in Richmond upon Thames and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible hours with a full-time contract and a base salary around £49,250 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will perform preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance, ensuring electrical and mechanical systems run efficiently and reliably across approximately 80 Greggs shops, while

Qualifications

• 18th Edition Electrician Qualification (ideally).
• Significant experience in installations, electrical repair, fault finding, preventative maintenance and continuous improvements.
• Good organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and carry out a varied workload in all trades, on both equipment and property.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out preventative, routine and emergency maintenance work on equipment in our shops
• Ensuring all on-site mechanical and electrical equipment is working as effectively and efficiently as possible
• Carrying out regular maintenance work, day-to-day repair of shop equipment, electrical repairs and modifications
• Ensuring machine downtime is minimised whilst repairs are carried out for a group of approximately 80 shops

About the role

• This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered

What you'll do

As Shop Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for:

About you

You will fit right into this role if you can demonstrate:

18th Edition Electrician Qualification (ideally)

Significant experience in installations, electrical repair, fault finding, preventative maintenance and continuous improvements

Good organisational skills

Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and carry out a varied workload in all trades, on both equipment and property

A Full UK Driving Licence is essential

Knowledge of Food Safety & SHE

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Flexibility in working hours (as may be required to work different shifts each week or asked to work overtime)

IT skills including Microsoft 365; SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams
