Job summary

City and County Healthcare Group Ltd is recruiting a Care Assistant to support a gentleman with a C4 spinal injury at home. You will assist with mobility, personal care, and fostering independence, including monitoring a suprapubic catheter and autonomic dysreflexia.

You will join a small team for day and night shifts in a geographic area with limited public transport. A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required. Pay rates: days £13.75, nights £14.25 per hour.

Pay: Days - £13.75 per hour | Nights - £14.25 per hour

Shifts: Day & Nights Available 8:30am - 9:30pm | 8:30pm - 9:30am

Driver: Yes - A full valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, due to the geographical location of the role and lack of public transport in the local area.

You will be supporting a gentleman with a C4 spinal injury where the main duties of this role will be to support him with mobility, assist him with personal care and help him to be independent both at home and at work. He does have a suprapubic catheter with a history of autonomic dysreflexia, so this will be need to monitored and maintained. The night time care staff will also assist with bowel care in the morning.

This client enjoys socialising with his friends, especially attending football matches.

Personal care including catheter care and bowel management.

Supporting with day to day activities at home and place of work (e.g. sending e-mails on his behalf)
