You will deliver 12-hour day shifts and wake night support, provide companionship, assist with personal care and medications, and promote independence while helping him stay active in the community.

Job description

Shifts Available: Days & Nights Available (8am - 8pm / 8pm - 8am)

We are looking for a motivated, friendly and chatty care/support worker to provide high-quality care and companionship to a gentleman who lives at home with his daughter.

This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about supporting individuals to live as independently and positively as possible.

The role includes:

Providing 12-hour daytime support and wake night support

Providing companionship, conversation and reassurance

Supporting with medication

Assisting with personal care

Providing tracheostomy (trachy) care

Promoting and encouraging independence

Supporting him to maintain his social life and enjoy outings

Accompanying him when spending time with friends and getting out into the community
