Job summary

Nepalese Gurkha Ltd in Redruth, Cornwall is seeking a skilled Tandoori Chef (ref: NGR-2026-TC-01) to lead traditional Indian and Nepalese tandoor cooking in a busy restaurant.

You will prepare tandoori dishes, naan breads, kebabs and grilled meats, maintain consistent flavour and portions, manage heat control and timing during peak service, and contribute to menu quality. Salary £33,000-£39,000 per year plus weekend bonuses.

We are seeking a skilled Tandoori Chef (ref: NGR-2026-TC-01) at Nepalese Gurkha Restaurant, 4 Green Lane Redruth, Cornwall TR15 1JT, with commercial-kitchen experience in traditional Indian and Nepalese tandoor cooking.

You will take responsibility for preparing and cooking tandoori dishes, naan breads, kebabs, grilled meats and related menu items while ensuring consistency in flavour, quality, portion size and presentation.

This role requires someone who understands the preparation, heat control and timing required for traditional tandoor cooking and who can work effectively during busy restaurant service.

£33,000-£39,000 PA depending on experience. Additional bonuses provided for weekend work.
