Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, an established automotive accident repair centre in Pontypridd, to appoint a Vehicle Paint Sprayer. This role offers an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals to join a busy, well-respected workshop committed to high-quality standards and customer satisfaction. The Vehicle Paint Sprayer will play a key part in delivering exceptional paintwork on vehicles, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and to the highest standard.

  • Competitive hourly rate of up to £15-22, depending on experience and current earnings.

  • Working hours from Monday to Friday, with shifts either 7:00am-4:00pm or 8:00am-5:00pm.

Duties of the Paint Sprayer:
  • Perform vehicle spray painting and finishing to a company standard, meeting all safety and quality requirements.
  • Complete all jobs within estimated timeframes, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Safeguard vehicles and their contents during the repair process.
  • Interpret technical instructions accurately and adhere to best practices.
  • Use all paint mixing schemes, drying areas, and equipment precisely for all repairs.
  • Ensure all vehicles comply with safety standards upon return to the customer.
  • Seek clarification from the Bodyshop Manager if work orders are unclear or appear incorrect.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment while working within a busy workshop.
Requirements:
  • Fully qualified Paint Sprayer to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is preferred. individuals with significant, proven time-served experience will also be considered.
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence with minimal points.
  • Ability to produce high-quality workmanship within a busy environment.
  • Motivated individual, capable of working towards team targets.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills.
  • ATA accreditation is highly advantageous but not essential.
