Job summary

Vibe Recruit is seeking a Production Operator for a leading corrugated packaging manufacturer in Pontypool. You will operate and monitor machinery to sustain production flow and adhere to standard operating procedures.

Day shift, £12.71 per hour, full-time with long-term opportunities, training and development in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to understand technical instructions.
• Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor machinery to ensure continuous production flow.
• Set and run die-cutters, gluers, and flexographic printing machines.
• Supply machines with raw materials and feed boards as required.
• Carry out changeovers, part inspections, and machine adjustments.
• Follow production plans, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Work closely with other departments to achieve manufacturing targets.
• Identify and report any production or machine issues.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation around work areas (5S / Good Housekeeping)

Vibe Recruit is currently hiring on behalf of a leading and fast-growing corrugated packaging manufacturer based in Pontypool. Due to continued expansion, we are looking for Production Operators to join their high-performing production team.

Production Operators - Full-Time - Pontypool

£12.71 per h

Working Hours

Day Shift

Monday - Thursday: 06:00 - 14:30, Friday: 06:00 - 13:00

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor machinery to ensure continuous production flow
• Set and run die-cutters, gluers, and flexographic printing machines
• Supply machines with raw materials and feed boards as required
• Carry out changeovers, part inspections, and machine adjustments
• Follow production plans, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
• Complete production paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
• Work closely with other departments to achieve manufacturing targets
• Identify and report any production or machine issues

Key Requirements

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production setting is essential
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to understand technical instructions
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and SolidWorks is an advantage
• CAD skills beneficial but not essential
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
• Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities
