Job summary

Vibe Recruit is recruiting for Production Operators to join a leading corrugated packaging manufacturer in Pontypool. The role is full-time on the day shift, with hours from 06:00 to 14:30 (Mon-Thu) and 06:00 to 13:00 (Fri).

As a Production Operator you will operate and monitor machinery, follow production plans and SOPs, and support other departments to meet targets. Training and development opportunities are provided in a supportive, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing or production is essential.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to understand technical instructions.
• Familiarity with PLC is an advantage.
• CAD skills are beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
• Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor machinery to ensure continuous production flow.
• Set and run die-cutters, gluers, and flexographic printing machines.
• Supply machines with raw materials and feed boards as required.
• Carry out changeovers, part inspections, and machine adjustments.
• Follow production plans, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Work closely with other departments to achieve manufacturing targets.
• Identify and report any production or machine issues.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation around work areas (5S / Good Housekeeping).

Production Operators - Full-Time - Pontypool

£12.71 per h

Working Hours

Day Shift

Monday - Thursday: 06:00 - 14:30, Friday: 06:00 - 13:00

Key Responsibilities
