Job summary

The Polegate Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant in Polegate. You will support residents with daily living, follow care plans and contribute to a safe, compassionate environment.

Open to experienced carers or newcomers, with full training and development provided. Wages are £14.80–£15.30 per hour for a 44-hour week, plus benefits including DBS, uniform and progression opportunities.

Job description

The Polegate Care Home is a 43 bed nursing care home located in Polegate, East Sussex, close to the town centre and the beautiful South Downs. Providing personalised nursing care and short term stays, the home offers a warm and welcoming environment where colleagues work together to deliver high quality, person centred care and make a real difference to the lives of Residents every day.

Care Assistant Contract

• £14.80 to £15.30 per hour
• Contracted to 44 hours per week
• Paid DBS pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
