Job summary

Toad Hall Nursery Group in Ottershaw is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant to join our busy kitchen team. The role is 40 hours a week across Monday to Friday, year round, and you will support the Nursery Chef in providing balanced, nutritious meals for the children.

You will have kitchen experience, enjoy a busy environment and working as part of a team, and respond well to instruction. Experience of caring for children is valued.

We are currently looking for a friendly, hardworking and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our busy kitchen team. This role is 40 hours a week across Monday to Friday (all year round). There will also be a requirement to be supporting in our different rooms, being part of the nursery staff team.

About you

You will have experience working in a kitchen environment, be passionate about preparing and cooking healthy, nutritional food, enjoy working in a busy environment and as part of a team, and respond well to instruction and direction. As well as experience of caring for children.

About the role

To assist and support the Nursery Chef in day-to-day catering duties, providing the nursery children with balanced, healthy and nutritious meals, and to adhere to Health and Safety policy and procedure at all times, observing cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.

• Ensuring that children are served the correct food, being aware of allergies at all times
• Receiving and unloading food and equipment deliveries
