Job summary

Toad Hall Nursery Group in Ottershaw is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant to join our busy kitchen team. The role is 40 hours a week across Monday to Friday, year round, and you will support the Nursery Chef in providing balanced, nutritious meals for the children.

You will have kitchen experience, enjoy a busy environment and working as part of a team, and respond well to instruction. Experience of caring for children is valued.

Qualifications

• You will have experience working in a kitchen environment.
• Passionate about preparing healthy, nutritional food.
• Enjoy working in a busy environment as part of a team.
• Experience of caring for children.

Responsibilities

• Support the Cook/Chef to prepare healthy, nutritious meals for children.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness to Environmental Health standards.
• Follow COSHH procedures.
• Ensure meals are suitable for allergies and dietary needs.
• Receive and unload deliveries of food and equipment.
