Job summary

British Heart Foundation in Otley is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run our fashion store and lead the team with energy and care. You will support the Store Manager with daily operations and help drive fundraising through store performance.

You’ll inspire staff and volunteers to deliver exceptional customer service, maintain eye-catching visual merchandising, and maximise sales through in-store and digital channels.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail management is desirable.
• Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota.

We’re looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our fashion store team in Otley so we could be the perfect match!

Candidate must be fully flexible to work 5 days per week out of 7 including Weekends and Bank Holidays.

What does this role involve:

As an Assistant Store Manager, you support the Store Manager with the day to day running of the store and take full responsibility in their absence.

Inspiring and supporting staff and volunteers to deliver an excellent customer journey that reflect our values, our Assistant Store Managers contribute towards the success of their stores by:

Ensuring highest standard of customer service

Maintaining a high standard of visual merchandising

Supporting with the recruitment and development of volunteers

Working with the manager to generate stock

Our stores are fast-paced and trade 7 days a week which means we require flexibility from our store teams to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.

Due to the volume of collections, deliveries and donations, it can be physically demanding at times, yet most rewarding as you play a part in helping to fund life-saving research.
