Voyage Care in Norton Fitzwarren is looking for genuinely caring, hands-on Support Workers to help people gain more independence in daily life within a friendly team.

You will support with personal care, encourage community engagement, and run activities like games or outings, while delivering compassionate, patient care and building confidence for each resident.

Job description

Typical Shifts are: Monday - Sunday 07:30 - 19:30 and covering nights when required.

We're on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands‑on Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our nursing service in Norton Fitzwarren is an old farmhouse with large grounds including fruit trees and a walled garden. It's a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You'll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be could be unwinding with them playing video games, and the next day, watching films or going to the cinema.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.

We're interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach as well as have experience working with individuals with Huntingdon's, complex care needs and acquired brain injury.
