Job summary

Voyage Care's residential service in Burnham-on-Sea is seeking a caring Night Support Worker to help people gain independence and improve wellbeing. You’ll work 20:30–08:00, three shifts per week, with alternate weekends, providing bedtime support, personal care and overnight checks.

Qualifications

• Experience following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
• Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including distress, mental health conditions, autism and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bedtime routines and personal care during night shifts.
• Perform regular checks throughout the night to ensure safety and wellbeing of residents.
• Carry out light domestic duties as needed during spare time.

As a Support Worker with us you’ll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our residential service within close proximity to the beach in Burnham on Sea has a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! As a Night Support Worker, you’ll be enhancing the lives of people we support by assisting with bedtime routines, including personal care and completing regular checks throughout the night. You will also be expected to complete light domestic duties in any spare time.

This is why at this service our Support Workers should be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism and people who have experienced trauma.
