Job summary

Rapier Employment are currently seeking an HGV Class 1 driver for our busy client in Newton Aycliffe. The role involves vehicle checks, regional deliveries and trailer swaps with RDC work.

The ideal candidate will hold a C+E licence for 12+ months, have CPC and tachograph cards, and possess at least 3 months commercial experience with no more than 6 points on their licence. Monday to Friday days are typical.

Qualifications

• HGV C+E licence held for at least 12 months.
• At least 3 months commercial driving experience for insurance purposes.
• No DR10, CD10 or IN10 convictions and no more than 6 points.
• Digital Tachograph card and CPC qualification.
• Monday to Friday days pattern with possible tramping.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Collections with trailer swaps and RDC-based work.
• Operate curtain-siders and box trailers as required.
• Deliver regionally across the north and midlands.
