Job summary

Rapier Employment Limited seeks an HGV Class 1 driver for a tramping role based in Newton Aycliffe. You will operate curtain siders or box trailers across the north and Midlands, with day shifts Monday to Friday and a rate of £180 per day.

There is also £25 per night out and requirements include a digital tachograph card and a valid CPC. Applicants should hold a C+E licence for at least 12 months, have a minimum of 3 months commercial experience for insurance, and must have no more than six

Job description

This tramping position based in Newton Aycliffe offers £180 daily for HGV Class 1 work. Rapier Employment seeks a licensed driver with at least a year on their C+E entitlement and three months of commercial practice to satisfy insurance terms. Duties cover vehicle inspections, general haulage, trailer swaps, RDC deliveries, and operating curtain siders or box trailers across northern regions and the Midlands. Shifts run Monday through Friday on days, with £25 paid per night out. Applicants need a digital tachograph card, valid CPC, no more than six points, and none of the specified DR10, CD10, or IN10 codes. A positive approach is expected.
