Job summary

Rapier Employment are currently seeking an HGV Class 1 driver for our busy client in Newark. This role is long term ongoing for the right candidates and includes both day and night shifts.

Days: 04:00–09:00 with PAYE rates of £19.40 per hour; Nights: 15:00–21:00 with PAYE rates of £21.57 per hour. You will need a valid HGV C+E licence, CPC, tachograph card and at least 3 months commercial experience.

Qualifications

• HGV C+E licence held for at least 12 months.
• At least 3 months of commercial driving experience for insurance.
• No DR10/CD10/IN10 offences and max 6 points.
• Digital Tachograph Card and CPC qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Delivering to RDCs and stores with night RDC shifts only.
• Unloading using tail lift and MHE equipment.
• Car and vehicle checks; follow shift patterns.

This role does require some manual handling.

Responsibilities will include:

• Delivering to RDCs and stores. (Nights RDC’s only)
• Stores deliveries will be unloading using tail lift and MHE equipment.
• Vehicle checks
• Shift patterns to suit.

Days

• Days between 0400 – 0900
• £19.40ph Monday to Friday
• All rates are PAYE

Nights

• Nights: 15:00 – 21:00 starts
• £21.57ph Monday to Sunday
• All rates are PAYE

The ideal candidate.

• Held your HGV C+E licence for at least 12 months
• You must have at least 3 months commercial experience for insurance purposes
• No DR10’s No CD10’s No IN10’s - NO MORE THAN 6 POINTS
• Digital Tachograph Card and CPC qualification
