Job summary

Mauve Group is seeking an organized HR & Payroll Administrator to join our Highlands team. This 15-month fixed term contract covers maternity leave, with an initial fully site-based role and a potential move to hybrid working after training.

You will support the HR and payroll lifecycle, handling contracts, onboarding, records, and payroll documentation, while building strong relationships across the business.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years' experience in an HR Administration and/or Payroll Administration role.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel) for data handling and reporting.
  • Experience using HRIS and/or payroll systems to maintain records and process changes.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships across the business.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of employment processes and the ability to apply HR and payroll administration with discretion.
  • Desirable: CIPD qualification or currently studying towards CIPD.
  • Desirable: experience supporting payroll processes in a busy HR department.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue employment contracts and associated documentation.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews, ensuring a smooth candidate and manager experience.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and keep HR systems up to date.
  • Support managers with day-to-day HR queries and administrative requests.
  • Assist with onboarding and support employee lifecycle activities.
  • Provide general HR department administration, including record keeping and document control.
  • Support project work where required.
  • Check and process payroll-related documentation to support accurate payroll runs.
  • Record and administer sickness absence documentation.
  • Process holiday requests and manage other employee amendments.
  • Administer changes to pay rates, allowances and temporary promotions.
  • Liaise with managers and payroll colleagues to ensure payroll accuracy and timely processing.

Job Overview

We are seeking an organised and proactive
