Job description

Human Resources Administrator - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
The ASMPT team is looking to fill the above position immediately:

Join us where we're enabling the digital world to realise the incredible potential, and we'll support you to realise yours too.

Our technology powers EVERYTHING with a digital component: we produce innovative equipment that enables the world's biggest names in electronics to bring their technology to market. We also enjoy a forward-thinking environment where continuous investment powers opportunities to work on exciting new projects on a global scale.

While we have offices - and career opportunities - around the world, the real magic happens at our Product Innovation Centre in Weymouth, where our people are quietly but confidently working to enable and evolve digitisation on a global scale.

They enjoy challenge and opportunity in equal measure, sharpen their skills and knowledge, be exposed to multiple disciplines, and experiment at the cutting edge. The teams get to do it all in an environment where we put people first, are collaborative and friendly, and everyone enjoys living and working in a location that offers the best of city, country, and coast.

We think you will like it too.

The Role:

This role is ideal for someone who already has experience working within an HR department and is looking for an opportunity to further develop their skills while supporting a broad range of HR activities across the employee lifecycle. You'll play a key role in ensuring our HR operations run smoothly, supporting employees, managers, payroll processes, HR systems, and wider HR initiatives.

Working closely with our HR Business Partners and wider HR team, you'll have the opportunity to build on your existing HR knowledge while gaining exposure to a variety of operational and project-based activities.

As HR Administrator, you'll provide efficient and accurate administrative support across the full employee lifecycle, including:

  • Producing contracts, letters and other employment-related documentation.
  • Supporting onboarding and offboarding processes and maintaining associated records.
  • Updating and maintaining HR systems, ensuring employee data remains accurate and up to date.
  • Supporting payroll administration by preparing and checking employee changes and maintaining payroll trackers.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries from employees and managers.
  • Maintaining HR templates, employee files and documentation in line with company procedures.
  • Producing HR reports and supporting data requests from the HR team.
  • Assisting with HR projects, continuous improvement activities and wider departmental initiatives.
  • Raising purchase requisitions and supporting other administrative processes where required.
About You:

We're seeking a capable and organised HR professional who can quickly become a valued member of the team.

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Previous experience working in an HR Administrator, HR Assistant, HR Coordinator or similar HR support role.
  • Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes, including starters, leavers and HR administration.
  • Experience maintaining confidential employee records and handling sensitive information.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work accurately to deadlines.

It would be advantageous if you also have:

  • A CIPD qualification or are working towards one.
  • Experience using HR information systems.
  • Exposure to payroll administration processes.
  • Experience using SAP or similar business systems.
What we'll offer you

We believe our people deserve to feel supported, valued and empowered, both inside and outside of work. That's why we offer a comprehensive package of wellbeing, financial and lifestyle benefits, including:

  • A competitive rewards package featuring an annual bonus opportunity, enhanced employer pension contributions, life assurance, alongside a range of financial wellbeing support including mortgage advice, pension clinics, will-writing services and access to savings and borrowing support.
  • Time to rest, recharge and focus on what matters most, with a generous annual leave entitlement, the flexibility to buy and sell holiday, company sick pay and enhanced family leave policies.
  • Comprehensive health and wellbeing support, including private medical and dental cover options, support with everyday healthcare costs, virtual GP access, second medical opinions, eyecare support, discounted gym membership and a range of mental wellbeing resources.
  • Practical support for every stage of life, with confidential employee assistance services which offer mental health support and specialist support for employees balancing caring responsibilities, including elderly care provision.
