Responsibilities

• Load and unload domestic and international vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Receive deliveries, check quantities and conditions of goods, complete paperwork.
• Pick, pack and dispatch products per customer requirements.
• Put away stock into designated locations and racks.
• Carry out stock checks and inventory counts when required.
• Maintain accurate stock records and warehouse documentation.
• Inspect goods for damages, discrepancies or shortages.
• Operate FLT Counterbalance and Reach trucks to move, load and store products.
• Liaise with drivers, subcontractors and internal teams regarding deliveries.
• Perform safety checks on warehouse equipment and facilities.
• Support site maintenance and uphold housekeeping standards.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and company policies.

Warehouse Operative (Counterbalance + FLT)

Brook Street Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join their busy and fast-paced operation in Morley.

This is a hands-on role offering variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to become a key part of a successful logistics team.

The role:

• Monday to Friday
• Salary: From £27,000 per annum DOE!
• Hours:

Shifts rotate on a weekly basis. 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7am-4pm and 10am-7pm, with some Saturday working as overtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading domestic and international vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Receiving deliveries, checking quantities and conditions of goods, and completing all associated paperwork.
• Picking, packing, and dispatching products in line with customer requirements.
• Putting away stock into designated warehouse locations and racking.
• Carrying out stock checks and inventory counts when required.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and warehouse documentation.
• Inspecting goods for damages, discrepancies, or shortages.
• Operating FLT Counterbalance and Reach trucks to move, load, and store products.
• Liaising with drivers, subcontractors, and internal teams regarding deliveries and collections.
• Completing safety checks on warehouse equipment and facilities.
• Supporting site maintenance and ensuring excellent housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse and yard.
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures and company policies.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience working within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Good level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office 365.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
• Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence (Essential)
• Previous warehouse experience Reach Truck Licence (Preferred)
• Experience working within a busy logistics or distribution environment
