Job summary

Voyage Care in Midsomer Norton is seeking a compassionate Day Support Worker to help people gain more independence in daily life. You will join a dynamic team, support with personal care, and encourage community access through activities and outings such as visiting local attractions.

The role requires a full UK driving licence (over 21) and a hands-on, resilient approach. On the job you will learn and grow through our training program, with progression opportunities and DBS checks carried out

Job description

- Long Days – 07:00am – 19:00pm or 08:00am – 20:00pm

- Early Shift – 08:00am – 14:00pm

- Late Shift – 14:00pm – 20:00pm

- Wake Nights – 20:00pm – 08:00am

This position requires you to held for 1 year a Full UK Manual Driving licence and be over the age of 21 due to insurance policy to drive our on site vehicles.

As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our supported living service in Midsomer Norton is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support visiting the zoo or swimming in the local community pool, the next you could be unwinding with them teaching them to cook, watching films or going to the cinema.
