Job summary

Serco Limited in Haywards Heath is seeking a dedicated HGV Refuse and Recycling Driver to deliver a full waste and recycling service to local residents and businesses. You will join a professional team, perform vehicle safety checks, and maintain high standards of customer service while contributing to a clean, safe community.

The role offers a 39-hour week with early starts, a salary of £35,866 per annum (£17.68 per hour) plus excellent benefits, including a company pension and development

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 1 or 2 driving licence and a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• Be physically fit and healthy
• Be a dedicated, friendly and professional team player
• Be willing to go the extra mile on your rounds to help your team hit its targets

Responsibilities

• Complete a pre-planned route as the driver, with your team of loaders, collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties.
• Be the public face of Serco in the community.
• Ensure that your vehicle safety checks are completed and that your truck is clean and work ready, before setting off on your round

Working alongside a professional and friendly team, you’ll deliver a full waste and recycling service to local residents and businesses. Your efforts will help maintain high standards across the community while providing excellent customer service every step of the way.

You’ll be entrusted to

• Complete a pre-planned route as the driver, with your team of loaders, collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties.

In our team, we all pitch in! As well as driving the lorry, you’ll work alongside our loaders too - staying active and helping to get things done quickly and efficiently.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you…
