Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking a qualified Vehicle Technician for our client’s dealership in Birmingham (Selly Oak). The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of vehicles with access to a market-leading commission and bonus scheme.

You will work with diagnostic tools and must have NVQ 2/3 in Vehicle Repair or equivalent, plus at least 1 year of experience and a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Vehicle Repair or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience as a vehicle technician.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and software.
• MOT licence a bonus.
• Full and valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.

Vehicle Technician – Selly Oak, Birmingham

£32,000 to £36,000 basic, 6-9k bonus on top, Additional £91 per month salary uplift for MOT-qualified technicians

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8.30 - 5 alternate Saturdays 8.30 - 1pm - paid at overtime

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified vehicle technician to join our client’s dealership in Birmingham.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a main dealership. This is opportunity for a Vehicle Technician as my client is never short on work and can offer a market leading commission scheme! This position requires a strong understanding of automotive systems and the ability to use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex problems.
