Job summary

UKCIL is seeking a patient, flexible Personal Assistant to support a young neurodiverse girl at her local setting in Maidstone. You will assist with daily routines, accompany outings, and help build independence through personalised activities.

Experience as PA not required; DBS check paid by employer, driving license and own car preferred to enable transportation to activities and appointments.

Qualifications

• Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by employer).
• Experience as a PA is not required; keen learner preferred.
• Flexible hours including Saturdays/Sundays during term time; mix of weekdays/weekends in holidays.
• Friendly, enthusiastic, motivated, and caring to support a young person.
• Able to accompany and support outings and daily activities.
• Aim to help build independence and daily living skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with daily routines.
• Assist with social and leisure activities and transportation.
• Offer reassurance, prompts and behavioural support as needed.
• Support with shopping for food, toys, and other essentials.
• Accompany outings and ensure safety during activities.
• Maintain safeguarding, hygiene, and wellbeing basics.

Job description

A young neuro diverse lady who attends a special needs school aged 18 is looking for a PA to support her to access an environment away from the family home. As a Pa you will be required to provide support in a range of areas including, but not limited to:

- Support with behavioural challenges, provide reassurance and prompts around daily routine

-To share interests in outdoor activities, parks, animals, swimming and open to other suggestions

- To be able to fully support And accompany during the outings

- Be strong willed and confident and generally a happy person

-Support and guide when making purchases for food or toys etc

Looking for someone to be open to get to know me, to be understanding, patient, reliable and both be flexible. Able to start as soon as possible. Experience of working as a PA is not necessary but keen learner would be an advantage. If you are friendly, enthusiastic, motivated, caring a want to support a young person to help build a maintain independence, this is the job for you.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check( cost covered by employer) and references

Hours are flexible but term time would either be a sat or Sunday and non term time can be a mix of week days and a weekend day
