Job summary

UKCIL seeks two Personal Care Support Workers to assist an 18-year-old son at home and in the community in Riding Mill. You will provide personal care, mobility support, meal assistance, and help with activities such as games and outings.

Positions are up to 20 hours per week per worker, with a pay rate of £18.40 per hour and 5.6 weeks paid holiday pro rata. Enhanced DBS funded; full UK driving license and own car preferred.

Qualifications

• Flexible, compassionate Personal Assistants to support an 18-year-old at home and in the community.
• Willingness to learn safeguarding and moving/handling techniques.
• Driving to accompany to activities is preferred but not always required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with daily activities.
• Assist with hoist transfers and mobility.
• Support meals and daily living tasks.
• Encourage participation in social and leisure activities.

2x Personal Care Support Workers for young male adult 20 hrs/wk@ £18.40/hr in Riding Mill

We are a friendly family seeking two fun, flexible Personal Assistants to support our 18-year-old son at home and in the community. He is a full-time wheelchair user with significant disabilities and needs support with all daily activities.

He is very chatty, loves music, games (PlayStation/iPad/board games), animals, and having a laugh. Outings may include swimming or local animal attractions.

Duties include

• personal care
• hoist transfers
• meal support
• accessing activities
• supporting epilepsy/allergies (full training provided).

Hours

Up to 20 hours per week per PA, flexible. Term-time preference for Fridays, weekends, and some after-school hours. Holiday hours are very flexible.

Pay

£18.40 per hour + 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). Expenses paid. Enhanced DBS required (funded).
