Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers' homes with a Driver's Mate.

• Make pre-delivery calls where required and obtain POD.
• Ensure deliveries are completed on schedule and with care.
• Unload goods safely and assist with unloading as needed.

Rapier Employment is recruiting HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for a leading home delivery operation based in Maidstone. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and customer-focused team offering ongoing work, weekly pay, and full training and support.

Pay Rates

• £18.38 per hour
• £27.56 per hour after 48 hours worked
• Weekly PAYE pay
• Holiday pay accrued separately

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you'll work alongside a dedicated Driver's Mate, delivering products directly to customers' homes. You'll be the face of the business, providing a professional, friendly, and reliable service while ensuring every delivery is completed safely and efficiently.

This is a physically demanding role involving manual handling, making it ideal for drivers who enjoy being active and working as part of a team.

Your Responsibilities

• Delivering exceptional customer service at every stop
• Working closely with your Driver's Mate to complete deliveries safely and efficiently
• Making customer pre-delivery calls where required
• Completing Proof of Delivery (POD) accurately
• Safely unloading goods into customers' homes
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring legal compliance
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on schedule

Shift Information

• This is not a standard Monday to Friday role, so flexibility is essential
• Ongoing, full-time work with regular shifts

What We're Looking For

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• No DR, CD or IN endorsements
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, punctual, and well organised
• Ability to successfully complete theory and practical driving assessments
• Previous multi-drop or home delivery experience is beneficial but not essential
