Job summary

Rapier Employment are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 or 2 drivers for ongoing roles in Hatfield. You'll work consistent shift patterns with guaranteed shifts through December/January, delivering retail goods across North London, Essex and Kent.

Shifts include early and late starts with attractive overtime rates after 8 hours. Weekly pay, holiday pay and a workplace pension are available, with long-term opportunities within a respected logistics provider.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) licence.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements).
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive.

Responsibilities

Location: Hatfield

Guaranteed Shifts Until December/January | Ongoing Work | Immediate Starts

Rapier Employment is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Drivers for a leading retail logistics operation based in Hatfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure ongoing work with regular shift patterns, premium overtime rates, and long-term opportunities.

Shift Patterns

• Tuesday to Saturday
• Sunday to Thursday
• Thursday to Monday
• Friday to Tuesday

Start Times

• Day Shifts: 04:00 - 06:00
• Late Shifts: 12:00 - 17:00

Pay Rates

Standard Hours

• £20.44 per hour (04:00 - 13:00)
• £21.76 per hour (13:00 - 04:00)

Overtime (After 8 Hours)

• £30.65 per hour (04:00 - 13:00)
• £32.65 per hour (13:00 - 04:00)

The Role

As an HGV Class 1 or 2 Driver, you'll deliver retail goods from the distribution centre to stores across North London, Essex, and Kent. Routes are well planned and consist primarily of palletised loads, with minimal manual handling required.

Depending on operational requirements, you may occasionally be asked to complete a second run.

Average shift lengths are 8-12 hours, with consistent start times and ongoing work available throughout the peak period.

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you'll need:
