Job summary

Rapier Employment is hiring a HGV driver in Basingstoke to perform two-person deliveries to customers’ homes. You will handle multi-drop routes, assist with manual items, and work on a 06:00 start with rota-based 5/7 shifts. Full training is provided and there is potential for a permanent role.

Applicants must hold a UK Class 2 (Cat C) licence, CPC and Tachograph, be 21 or older, and pass driving/theory assessments with strong customer service skills.

Overview

This role involves working as an HGV 2 driver in Basingstoke, operating as part of a two‑person crew to deliver goods directly to customers’ homes. The position requires a customer‑focused approach, with responsibilities including multi‑drop deliveries and manual handling of items. Shifts start at 06:00, five days per week on a rota basis. The contract offers an hourly rate between £17.70 and £26.55, with overtime available and weekly pay. Full training is provided, and the role has temp‑to‑perm potential. Applicants should hold a valid Class 2 licence and be comfortable with the physical demands of the job. Newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply.
