Job summary

Steve Savage is partnering with a client in Macclesfield to hire a Warehouse Operative. The role involves picking and packing customer orders for daily shipment, receiving weekly stock shipments, checking stock, and placing stock in correct locations for future picking.

Duties include processing order paperwork, stock control, loading/unloading with FLT or reach truck, updating stock records, keeping the warehouse tidy, and coordinating with the service team to ensure smooth operations.

• Transacting and shipping orders with necessary paperwork and invoices.
• Stock control, movements, and stock takes where needed.
• Loading and unloading trucks with FLT or reach truck usage.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and keeping the warehouse tidy.
• Communicating by email and phone with colleagues as required.
• Ensuring smooth warehouse flow and timely order processing.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a warehouse operative to join our client's team.

Monday to Friday the start time is 7.45am till 4.30pm

£14.30 per hr

Warehouse Operative Duties:

• - Picking and packing customer orders for daily shipment
• - Receiving and processing the weekly stock shipment, accurately checking off stock with also putting stock in correct stock locations ready for future picking.
• - Transacting and shipping customer orders producing correct paperwork for shipments, commercial invoices as and where needed for certain countries.
• - Stock control / stock movements / stock takes where necessary
• - Loading and unloading trucks with FLT / Use of reach truck in warehouse
• - Accurate documentation for stock and shipping paperwork
• - Update and maintain stock records keeping stock accurate and available.
• - Keep the order processing and warehouse flowing smoothly
• - Filing shipping / order paperwork
• - Arranging parts kits and service boxes for the service team ahead of a site visit
• - Communicate by email and phone with all company employee’s as and when needed.
• - Keeping the warehouse tidy and a safe space to work with your team members.
