Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd in Ludlow is seeking a skilled MET Technician to join a busy bodyshop environment. The role focuses on mechanical, electrical and trim work on damaged vehicles, with opportunities to grow as MOT and servicing facilities are added.

Expect Monday–Friday shifts with flexible start times in a stable, high-volume workshop. The successful candidate will have MET technician or strong vehicle technician background, solid mechanical/electrical/diagnostic skills, and a full UK

Qualifications

• Proven MET Technician or similar experience.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform MET work to high standards on damaged vehicles.
• Strip and refit components per manufacturer specs.
• Carry out wheel alignments and related duties as needed.
• Identify additional repair needs during strip-downs and communicate them.
• Ensure work is completed safely and to quality standards.
• Work efficiently to meet productivity targets.
• Collaborate with bodyshop and workshop teams for timely repairs.

Our client, a well-established accident repair centre in Ludlow, is seeking a skilled MET Technician to join their busy and expanding workshop.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MET Technician or a motivated Vehicle Technician aspiring to specialise within the bodyshop environment. With significant growth plans including the addition of MOT and servicing facilities, this role offers excellent long-term career prospects.

Duties of the MET Technician:

• Conduct mechanical, electrical, and trim (MET) work on damaged vehicles to high standards
• Strip and refit vehicle components in line with manufacturer specifications
• Perform wheel alignments and 'super fitter' duties when required
• Identify and communicate additional repair needs during strip-down processes
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high quality standard
• Work efficiently to meet productivity targets as an MET Technician
• Collaborate effectively with bodyshop and workshop teams to deliver timely repairs

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an MET Technician, Strip & Fitter, or a strong Vehicle Technician background
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Full UK driving licence
