Qualifications

• Experience as MET Technician in an accident repair centre or bodyshop.
• Apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle ME/Trim (NVQ/IMI/SVQ/ATA).
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Ability to remove and refit vehicle components accurately.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle and reassemble accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose damaged parts requiring repair or replacement.
• Carry out vehicle strip and refit work following repair methods.
• Work with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians and Vehicle Damage Assessors to maintain throughput.
• Ensure safety systems and electrical components operate correctly before handover.

The Role

As an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician, you'll be responsible for dismantling and reassembling accident-damaged vehicles, ensuring every repair is completed safely and to the highest possible standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components.
• Diagnosing damaged parts requiring repair or replacement.
• Carrying out vehicle strip and refit work following manufacturer repair methods.
• Working closely with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians and Vehicle Damage Assessors to maintain an efficient repair process.
• Ensuring all safety systems, electrical components and vehicle functions operate correctly before handover.
• Maintaining accurate records of completed work and reporting any additional damage identified during repairs.
• Following manufacturer specifications and all health and safety procedures.
• Delivering high-quality workmanship while meeting productivity targets.

About You

We're looking for an experienced MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician who takes pride in producing safe, high-quality repairs.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician within an accident repair centre or Bodyshop.
• Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / ATA), with a commitment to continuous professional development.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• The ability to remove and refit vehicle components efficiently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Knowledge of modern vehicle systems and manufacturer repair methods.
• A positive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A full UK driving licence.
