Skills 4 Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to support day-to-day operations, assist customers at the medicines counter, and work closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.
You will undertake a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training provided. Duration typically 15 months, blended learning with contracted hours. No prior pharmacy experience required; training is provided.
As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.
You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.
Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
Duration: Typically 15 months
Training delivered alongside your job through blended learning
Apprentices must be able to commit to contracted working hours and guided learning hours

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.
This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.
