Job summary

Cygnet Healthcare is seeking an experienced Support Worker to join the Long Eaton Day Service. You’ll work 40 hours a week on 8-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday, delivering person-centered care at Long Eaton Day Service.

• 1 year+ experience in a support setting with learning disabilities

Long Eaton Day Services specialises in supporting individuals with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability, in addition to those with complex health needs, physical disabilities and those with autism. We have a long history of enhancing the quality of life of the individuals who attend the service.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Driven with a desire to make a real difference in people’s lives
• Experienced for 1 year plus in a support setting working with learning disabilities
• An excellent communicator and a good team player
• Caring and understanding with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment
• Passionate about empowering & supporting service user independence
• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals’ specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with medical & welfare needs
• Report on medical & welfare needs as required
• Safeguard all patients
