Morgan Hunt UK Ltd is seeking an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) to join our team in Essex. You will manage a caseload of high-risk domestic abuse cases, perform risk assessments, develop safety plans and advocate for clients with housing, health, legal and other services.

The role requires a compassionate, empathetic and non-judgemental approach with strong safeguarding and multi-agency collaboration skills. DBS check will be conducted.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with vulnerable people and managing a caseload.
  • Strong understanding of domestic abuse, safeguarding and risk management.
  • Experience working within a multi-agency environment.
  • Excellent communication, advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Strong crisis-management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Compassionate, empathetic and non-judgemental approach.
  • SafeLives IDVA qualification or relevant equivalent experience/qualification, or willingness to undertake the required training.

We are looking for a compassionate, proactive and experienced

Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) to join our team in Essex.

Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA)

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Office Requirement: 1 day per week in the office

Reporting to: IDVA Service Manager / Senior IDVA

Role Type: Frontline Domestic Abuse Support

The role will provide frontline support to victims of domestic abuse, with a particular focus on

high-risk cases. You will work closely with clients to assess risk, develop safety plans, provide advocacy and help them access appropriate services.

Key Responsibilities

About You

You will ideally have:
