Job summary

Tarmac Leeds DSM – Dry Silo Plant is seeking an Operative to join the team. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will help ensure plant safety, availability, production output and quality, taking ownership of daily activities.

The role includes meeting daily production targets, moving and loading product, ensuring timely vehicle turnaround, and supporting continuous improvement. Training will be provided to develop both operative and supervisory skills in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an Industrial or Factory environment.
• Training will be provided to the right person to develop both operative and supervisory skills.
• Good communication skills and a desire to progress in operational roles.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily production target requirements.
• Report data for quality purposes.
• Move, load and unload product from plant and vehicles.
• Meet customer service requirements with accurate loading and timely vehicle turnaround.
• Drive continuous improvement of performance standards.
• Pursue continual improvement of plant and production methods.

We are currently looking for an Operative to join their team.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to our Plant Manager, the successful Operative will be responsible for actively participating and taking ownership of activities to ensure plant safety, plant availability, production output and quality.

You will also take responsibility for:

• Meeting daily production target requirements
• Reporting of data for quality purposes
• Moving, loading and unloading product from the plant and vehicles
• Meeting customer service requirements in terms of accurate loading and timely vehicle turnaround
• Continuous Improvement of performance standards
• Continuous improvement towards plant and production methods

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience working within an Industrial, Factory or similar environment. Ideally we are looking for experience with the following

Multi-Skilled Operative or

Labourer. Although training will be giving as well to the right person, as well as possess good communication skills and have a real desire in developing both operative and supervisory skills.
