Duties of a Vehicle Damage Assessor:

• Conduct detailed inspections and assessments of damaged commercial vehicles and HGVs
• Prepare accurate repair estimates for customers, insurers, fleet operators, and third parties
• Utilise industry-standard estimating systems such as Audatex and manufacturer methods
• Identify all repair requirements, including parts and labour operations
• Liaise effectively with customers, insurers, engineers, parts suppliers, and internal teams
• Collaborate closely with workshop, parts, and operations departments to ensure smooth repair progress
• Maintain accurate records and update internal management systems
• Negotiate repair costs with insurers and customers where necessary
• Deliver high-quality customer service and uphold a professional, courteous approach at all times

Requirements of a Vehicle Damage Assessor:

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA), Estimator, Damage Assessor or Commercial Vehicle Estimator
• Prior experience assessing commercial vehicles and HGV accident damage
• Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle repair methods and processes
• Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software such as Audatex
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Reliable, organised, and able to perform under pressure
• Professional attitude and customer-focused approach
• Full UK driving licence preferred
